Resident Evil
Raccoon City was a business flourishing city located
in the American mid west. Decades of financial and business support
from the international multi billion dollar medical health company, Umbrella
incorporated, had lead to Raccoon's growing success with its many research
facilities located within the city.
1998, July...
In the outskirts of the city, by the dense Raccoon
forest and Arklay mountains surrounding it, local newspapers reported attacks
as well as unusual sightings of groups of strange people and what was called
"dog-like" creatures in the area. The mutilated remains of a woman hiker
was found in a river, and judging by the state of the woman, police told
reporters that it was most likely caused by a grizzly or wolf attack.
The Raccoon City mayor, Michael Warren, was forced
to send in the elite Raccoon City Police Special tactics and rescue service
(S.T.A.R.S) Bravo Team to investigate the forest area, because of the heightened
emotions of the Raccoon citizens. But shortly after the Bravo team was
sent in, the police HQ lost contact.
The S.T.A.R.S Alpha Team was sent in the next day
to search and rescue the remaining Bravo team, but all they found was their
crashed helicopter, and the dead body of the helicopter pilot. And soon
the Alpha team would experience the same faith as their compatriots, and
they were forced to escape into a nearby Mansion, where they thought it
was safe...
Now the only thing they could do was to try to stay
alive, and solve the mystery that had caused all this to happen...

Resident Evil 2
Imagine a normal mid-western U.S. town, built at
the base of a vast forest. Business thrived here, especially with the advent
of several new industries. Heck, you can't find a more peaceful wilderness
getaway than Raccoon city.
Then the trouble began.
Rumors began to spread, and the town was overcome
with odd occurrences. Unidentifiable creatures appeared out of nowhere,
and fatal accidents happened at an alarming rate. Word got out about a
severe accident at a mountain lab. Not one of the townspeople knew what
was happening to their quaint, formerly serene hamlet.
The Raccoon police department, in an effort to calm
the growing fear among locals, recruited several new officers. Leon S.
Kennedy is one of the promising new recruits. As Leon prepares to join his
new unit, he attempts to contact the captain who hired him, but has no
luck reaching him. Unfazed, he continues into Raccoon city to his new job.
At the other side of town, a distraught Claire Redfield
searches for her missing brother, Chris. Claire begins her search in Raccoon
city, the last known location of her brother nearly two months ago, only
to learn about the "accident" in the forest. Is Chris still in Raccoon
city? Noone knows...
Sadly for Leon and Claire, they are completely unaware
of the overwhelming world of horror and despair they both are about to
enter...
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
After the mansion incident Jill Valentine, a member
of the S.T.A.R.S, remained in the Raccoon City while the rest of the team
left to Europe to uncover the truth about Umbrella and its research. Unaware
of the T-virus being spread to the public, Jill tried to find out what
exactly was Umbrella doing in Raccoon City.
About the same time as the young cop Leon
Kennedy came to Raccoon City (in RE 2), Jill realized that the city was
being overrun by the infected monsters and that it was already too late
to save it. The Raccoon City police forces tried to stop the walking dead
but the results were horrible, only couple of cops survived the fight.
Also Umbrella sends a U.B.C.S. (Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasures Service)
team to take care of the incident.
Later on, before any contact can be made with any
outside forces, Jill Valentine is caught in an explosion, which throws
him to the streets. The living dead start to chase her as she escapes to
a nearby alley. But that's not all it takes to escape the Raccoon City
which has turned in to a nightmare…
Resident Evil Code: Veronica
After Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield managed to
escape from the infected Raccoon City the two of them went on their separate
ways, promising to keep contact between each other. Claire followed a clue
of her brother's whereabouts and headed to the Umbrella facility in France
to find him. After arriving to the Umbrella headquarters Claire tried sneak
inside and take a look at their files but was spotted and then chased by
the security guards. Once captured she was transferred to a isolated island
at an unknown place.
Little while later the place was attack by a secret
enemy and Claire is released from her prison. Soon she meets a young person
called Steve Burnside, who has also been imprisoned on the island. Together
they try to escape from the island with death following their every step…cident.
Meanwhile Chris has found out about Claire being
captured and held as a prisoner and he decides to go to rescue her. He
has been able to pinpoint the location of the mysterious island and heads
there hoping that his sister is still alive…
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 4 is the latest game of the Resident
Evil franchise. The main character from Resident Evil 2, Leon S. Kennedy
is back in the game. The story takes Leon deep down into the heart of the
Umbrella Corporation. Capcom completely re-styled the graphics engine.
They took the risky step from rendered backgrounds to fully 3D animated
backgrounds! Also you can switch to an ego perspective where the character
can explore each area even better. Though, it`s unknown if the ego perspective
can be used for killing enemies too. Finally it has also been announced
that Resident Evil 4 will be released on 3 game discs (!)
Resident Evil Outbreak
Capcom surprised the gaming industry when it revealed
a game for the PS2. Until now Capcom had stayed exclusive on the Nintendo
Gamecube. Not only that but this time Resident Evil is going Online. The
game takes place before and after the full viral outbreak in Raccoon City.
The most interesting aspect in this game is that you don’t assume the role
of a S.T.A.R.S team member this time but rather a normal citizen of Raccoon
City. The main idea of this game is co-operation. The game allows up to
four players to play at a time. The rest four are controlled by the computer.
Resident Evil: Outbreak features a full online gaming mode along with a
special offline- mode which revolves around RE2 and RE3. You have the ability
to help out your comrades or you can bring out the more darker side in
you and try to stop their escape. You can barricade doors and windows to
stop the zombies from getting to you. You can crawl, swim, hide in lockers,
every character is unique and has it's specialties. Some are strong and
have access to big weapons, others may be more subtle and use their brains
to get them out of a sticky situation. In Outbreak death isn't the end
- this time you have the ability to hunt down other players as a zombie!
Gun Survivor
In 1998 a disaster struck the quiet Midwestern residence
of Raccoon City. An uncontrollable outbreak of the Umbrella created T-Virus
transformed the city into an inescapable death trap. To stop the
outbreak from spreading, Umbrella Incorporated was forced to wipe out the
entire city. However, this was not the only location where an outbreak
occurred...
And then the opening movie starts, the sheena island
streets are crawling with zombies, another incident, when we thought that
raccoon city was the only place where anything like this could happen.
No one imagined it, but its happened, all because
of one man's greed for money and power from umbrella.
A chopper is seen flying in the night sky with one
determined soul flying on it while another one hangs from it with a gun
in his hand and a pair of dog tags in
the other one, but suddenly he shoots in the chopper and it explodes
a little and the hanging man looses control and falls down screaming.
Gun Survivor 2
Claire Redfield was looking for her lost brother Chris. She
managed to get into the main Umbrella complex in France, without luck though.
They put her into a prison on an island. She however is able to get out
of it and is now looking for a way to get off the island which meanwhile
is over run by flesh eating zombies.
You play the game in first person mode. There is
a time limit and if you fail to complete your mission within this limit,
Nemesis breaks free.
You can choose between two game modes. Arcade or
Dungeon. These two modes do not differ a lot. In the Dungeon mode you have
to get the biggest high score and in the end you meet one of the bosses
from Code Veronica. Actually RE:GS2 is a game for the arcade halls. It
might be entertaining in the beginning, but soon you will loose interested
in this game. Unlike Gun Survivor 1 it is not a story based game. You just
shoot the hell out of the enemies, but that can be fun too. The graphics
are about on the same level as those from the original Code Veronica. The
game only covers the first half of the CV story. Means, you only play on
Rockfort Island.
Summarized, its an improvement compared to the poor
first part of the Gun Survivor "franchise", but all in all still not a
good game. Die-hard RE fans should have it in their collection nonetheless.
Resident Evil Dead Aim
The Umbrella Corporation is looking for new locations
to continue with their research on their viruses. Burce McGivern, a member
of the anti Umbrella organization "US Stratcom" is sent in to investiage
a kidnapped luxurious ship.
He is operating as a pursuit agent on the ship to
find out more about the connection to Umbrella.

You lose, big guy! - Clair to Tyrant 006 (aka Mr. X)
Mr. X (a.k.a. The Tyrant)
Dropped from a genetic experimental storage tank,
this silent stalker will haunt your walking and sleeping hours. You may
be able to knock him down, but Mr. X will always get up. Slow, steady,
and unrelenting. Though not fleet of feet, Mr. X possesses incredible power
and a bottomless reservoir of endurance. He will only stop once he has
attained the G-virus!
I don't know about you guys, but Mr. X is the ultimate
in death and destruction. He also knows how to scare the living shit
out of you! I won't hide it, this guy knew exactly when I was vulnerable
and when to crash through the wall (all 5 times). It was too much
when he had to die too, I didn't know whether to be glad or sad for the
guy. But if I wanted him back, I just hit reset and play all over
again!!
Mr. X is a programmed tyrant whose mission is to
find a sample of the G-virus. Mr. X is chasing you because he thinks you
have the sample. He can show up at anytime and can do heavy damage with
his attacks. He shows up in
You don't have to fight him except very late in the game and he's pretty hard because he now runs instead of walking.

Resident Evil... THE MOVIE!!?
The Resident Evil movie. Ah yes, the movie
that is going to revolutionize the RPG series and make it appeal to a broad
audience. The movie that is going to make the dedicated gamer feel
alive. A movie that is going to rule. If you haven't been able
to figure it out, I'm being sarcastic. Truth is, I'm still waiting
for the movie I described to come out. I was severely disappointed
in the 2002 movie. It didn't appeal to me, other then all those dead
people. They were cool. And some parts were freaky. But
the storyline, the acting, and the ending all pretty much disappointed.
A Virus has escaped in a secret facility called "The
Hive." The Government sends in an elite military task force lead
by Alice (Milla Jovovich) and Rain (Michelle Rodriguez) to contain the
virus in three hours before it escapes and infects the rest of the world.
But all their training couldn't have prepared them for what they were going
to encounter: A high-tech computer system that is designed to contain outbreaks,
the undead zombies that are infected with the virus, and experimental 'animals'
that are souped up with the virus strain.
The movie has the main character suffering from
amnesia, which is convenient for us, because then we can learn things
as she's learning them. See, we're relating to the character on the
screen! Damn, that's brilliant! Nothing like... ah fuck it,
I'm not even going to be joking with this title. It just plain out
sucked.
